About Impossibly Tiny

Previously a large-scale ocean painter, Jasmine had hopes of merging her fine-art career with her love for life at the sea.

But with each advancement in her professional work, another sacrifice was made in her lifestyle: more shows & sales meant more space needed for supplies, storage, & schedules for working inside. As her days of painting the sea increased, her connection with its essence dissolved.

“My favorite & most meaningful creations have always been the ones made when living true to what fulfills me - spending time outdoors, moving my body, & connecting with the beauty of each changing day. I knew I had to return to a simpler way of making art if I were to maintain my connection with creativity.

Art has been a gift, for as long as I can remember. But its gift is in its presence alongside my life, not in separation from it.”

With an infinite well of childlike wonder and a tiny 350 sq ft home shared with her husband, Jasmine began making miniature art within the boundary lines of her small & simple lifestyle, rather than trying to go beyond them. What came of it was something most unexpected:

Instead of feeling trapped, she experienced a freedom much like that of a child - in joy, simplicity, & lightness of play - and before long, Impossibly Tiny emerged as a side-hobby but quickly became her full-time project.

“Sharing my love for ordinary life in miniature art has been such a shift in perspective. Visual memories, passions, & ideas could now easily be connected with others anywhere in the world, regardless of lifestyle - which was something previously challenging due to such large-scale & location-specific artwork.

By letting go of my professionally respected work, I was able to truly live with art again. I wouldn’t trade that for anything.”

The Impossibly Tiny collection continues to grow with new art & new collectors increasing around the world. ChonkyFrog joined the project in early 2025, as yet another expression of life’s contented play.

“There’s no telling where life will go in its continuous forward motion, but it will be wondrous - and there will be art.
